Railway bridge and gateway to the western entrance to Guthrie Castle (NO55SE0049), opened in 1838 by Arbroath and Forfar Railway. The gate is still in use, but the railway has since gone out of use. It was constructed to carry the railway past Guthrie estate without having to cross the road. The structure is a Tudor-gothic vaulted gateway carrying the railway, surmounted by a battlemented parapet and flanked by octagonal towers and curved screen walls.
