Details Icehouse, no longer in use, built in the late-18th or early-19th century to the west of Gurthrie Castle (NO55SE0049). It is depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as an icehouse, and current maps depict it as disused. It has a small tunnel to a domed underground champer with a hatch to the surface.
