Details Site of a well. The 19th century antiquary Warden recorded the site of 'a spring dedicated to St Aidan, sometimes corrupted to St Iten, and believed to perform miraculous cures'. The site of the well is shown on the OS maps from the1st edition OS map onwards, so the water had already been drained to issue from a spout at the road-side, round which a building had been erected by 1862, when only a hollow marked the actual site of the well. The site is now occupied by a pond on the 2006 map.
