Details Remains of suspension bridge over the River North Esk, built in the mid-19th century and now derelict. It is depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as a suspension bridge, but current maps depict it as derelict. It is a two-span footbridge over a deep gorge, with a tall bull-faced centre pier rising from the river rocks. The suspension rods radiate from arched wrought-iron work at the centre pier and abutments direct to the decking, which is no longer present. It crosses into Angus (see NO57SE0110 in the Angus HER).
