Period Notes

Period Notes The mansion was built in 1982-3 on the site of an earlier mansion built in 1855, with additions in 1885 and alterations in 1908 and circa 1926, which itself replaced an earlier mansion. Other features within the policies include sundials dated 1725 and 1755, stables dated 1832, Allencreich Farm from circa 1850. Trees were planted in the park in the 1850s-70s. Kennels were built in 1884, and cottages were built in 1888, at which time the Home Farm and gamekeeper’s bothy were also altered.
