Details Former school for Aboyne, used during World War II as an evacuee station for those coming from Glasgow. The locals were schooled in the morning and the evacuees in the afternoon up to Christmas 1939. Possibly as many as 1250 people were evacuated to the Deeside area in 1939. Any overflow from this centre was passed onto the nearby church hall (NO59NW0040).
