Details East gate lodge for the House of Dun (NO65NE0061). It was built in the early 19th century, and is probably later than the circa 1800 East Gates (NO65NE0016) adjacent to the east. It is oriented roughly east-west, with two wings projecting north at each end, creating a closed U-plan building. The 1st and 2nd edition OS maps show no change to the building itself, however within the western limit of the enclosure around the building, there is a pump shown on the 2nd edition that is not on the 1st edition, and is no longer there. The enclosure has been shortened since the 2nd edition OS map. It is a single-storey lodge, with an entrance porch on the East elevation. The porch has octagonal columns and a plain cornice. There is a bow to the north-facing front to the eastern wing, with a tripartite window. There are also wallhead stacks and a slate piended roof. Both pointed-headed and square-headed windows are used. The West Lodge and Gates (NO65NE0012) are to the southwest.
