Kinnaird's Mill is depicted on the 1st edition OS map as two buildings, an L-shaped building and a T-shaped building, joined by a small connecting building. To the west of it are two other buildings, and to the north a lade leading from the river in the northwest and joining it again to the east. On the north side of the lade is another rectangular building. By the 2nd edition OS map only a small part remains of each of the larger structures, along with one of the other buildings to the west . Only two of the original buildings now survive on the 2006 map, although they are now converted to housing. A photographic survey of the lade and weir was carried out in 2015 in advance of a hydroelectric scheme.
