Derelict watch office and control tower, part of, the World War II satellite fighter station, Kinnell airfield (NO65SW0049). The original watch office survives as a single-storey building to which a two-storey control tower was added on the north side. The tower was built when the airfield was altered to become a forward fighter satellite station. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in November 2023 by Cameron Archaeology prior to proposed demolition. The watch office and control tower are both of harled brick. The single-storey watch office comprises an L-shaped room 6.4 m long and 4-6 m wide with an extension on the west with a blast wall. The tower measures 4.9 m by 4.9 m and is 5.1 m high. The watch office’s roof is accessed from the tower's south wall, and the balcony has an iron railing. There are aluminium vent covers on the south and east walls of the watch office and cast iron blast proof shutters on the east and south walls.
