Period Notes 1st and 3rd C BC are dates from souterrains. C14 date of ad 16 +/- 50 came from a ditch. From the floor of a hut 197 +/- 60 bc. SRR-286 charcoal from the purposeful back-fill of f18, a deep narrow ditch-like feature - 1990 BP +/- 40 (which equals 94 BC - 120 AD at 2 sigma): SRR-287 carbonised barley from layers of charcoal and charred grain and a little burnt bone from f2.1 (from f 2.3 according to SRR date list), a hearth pit cut into the edge of a refilled ditch in the Group 2 complex - 1450 BP +/- 70 (which equals 430 AD - 679 AD at 2 sigma): SRR-288 carbonised young twigs from the back-fill of ditch feature 12, which consisted of a large ramp and a rectangular chamber at an angle to it, like a small souterrain in the Group 2 complex - 1940 BP +/- 50 (which equals 47 BC - 212 AD at 2 sigma). SRR-526 Charcoal from deliberate refill at.75m depth (f2.2) in the Group 2 complex 1970 BP +/- 40 (which equals 49 BC - 125 AD at 2 sigma). SRR-527 Charcoal from the deliberate refill near floor in dry-stone structure of the long narrow ditch feature f307 2150 BP +/- 50 (which equals 361 BC - 52 BC at 2 sigma).
