Details Kennels depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Desk based assessment and buildings appraisal was carried out by AOC Archaeology in 2010, and subsequent standing building survey undertaken in November 2016. The building is on an L-shaped plan and is a single storey three-by-two bay construction of red and grey coursed and snecked stone rubble. There are three bays along the south elevation, wide doorways with pronounced surroundings with vertically timber planked doorways. To the south is an open pen area to exercise the dogs with curved iron railings.
