Farmstead, still in use, built in the late 18th century to the south-east of where Blackhall Castle (NO69NE0019) once stood. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a quadrangular-plan steading with a garden enclosure to the east. On the 2nd edition OS map a section to the south has been removed, widening the entrance to the court. Current OS maps show further alterations, including the removal of the rest of the southern section leaving a U-plan building. The C-listed building has a single-storey north front, and the building is harled with a slate roof. There is an arched pend with a gablet over, surmounted by a small belfry.
