Details Site of a long cist. An extended inhumation in a long cist was discovered directly below the old bell-tower of the parish church when it was removed in 1832-3 according to D Wilson. Four pots of a type identified by Anderson as Medieval for burning incence and charcoal as part of the burial rite accompanied the burial, two at the head and two at the feet, an arrangement which is common in France. One of the pots is reported to be in Montrose Museum and another in the NMAS.
