Period Notes

The castle is from the late-16 or 17th century. Both 1590 and the 17th century are given as the date by HES. Warden (1882) gives the date of the 17th century. The date of its ruin, and the development of the garden, are unknown. There are various 19th and 20th century additions and alterations, including wrought-iron gates made in 1906 and 1907. Part of a landscape designated on 31/03/2006.
