Details Cropmarks. An unenclosed settlement is visible as crop marks in a field of cereal crop on photographs taken during aerial reconnaissance by the RCAHMS in 1982 and 1994 and by AAS in 2005. See also NO76SW0023, NO76SW0009, NO76SW0025. Also visible as a cropmark in this field at the west side is the course of the former section of the Caledonian Railway linking Montrose to Dubton via Broomfield Junction, closed to traffic in 1963.
