Details A report was lodged on the 8th March 1834 that ‘A sloop was seen to go down off Montrose Ness, in a violent gale of wind on Wednesday (5th March 1834). Another sloop said to belong to Berwick, came on shore near the North Esk the end of last week.' No further information.
