West gate lodge to former Sunnyside Hospital (NO76SW0063). Built in the late 19th century, and depicted on the 2nd edition OS map. It is 2-storey, rubble-built, essentially rectangular in plan with an advanced gable section at the southwest end, with ground floor bay window. Windows are sash and case. The roof is of black slate, the gable ends and upper window in the main elevation featuring a painted decorative fascia. A chimney stack at the west end has three pots.
