Details Cottage within the Arbuthnott estate (NO77NE0002), depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Originally an ancillary working building incorporating working and living space, possibly of 18th century date, now solely in residential use. It is built of roughly finished field stone masonry with fine ashlar details at the skews, corners and around windows. Formerly finished in roughcast render, possibly its original condition. The roof is slate. A porch visible in early 20th century photographs has been removed.
