Details Remains of a cairn of which only the base survives. It measures circa 8m in diameter and stands 0.4m high. Said to be that on which a King sat to pass judgement on Sheriff Melville. 'Kenshot' said is to be a corruption of 'King's Seat'. All that remains is a scant, turf-covered remains of a rubble of stones. Neither the name or the tradition are known locally. This is probably the remains of a burial cairn.
