Former drill hall, used during World War I and still in use as a Terratorial Army Centre. It is a two-storey dormered building with four bays to the main street frontage and a single-storey hall behind. The entrances to both street-front block and hall are to the lane at the side. The detached building immediately behind the hall has been suggested to have been residential accommodation for an instructor. The street-front building and hall, but not the detached house, are shown on the OS 3rd edition map,. The 2nd edition shows a building along the street frontage and smaller structure to the rear within the footprint of the current hall. prior to which epoch Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map. In 1914 the drill hall was the drill station for 'C' Squadron, Fife and Forfar Yeomanry and base for 'D' Company, 7th battalion Gordon Highlanders. Recorded by HS/RCAHMS WWI Audit Project 2013.
