Details Railway station, sidings. level crossing, signal box and signal posts depicted on the OS 1st edition map, at Carmont Summit (also known as New Mill). On the 2nd edition it is annotated as a goods station. Only the station building is shown on the OS 1st edition. The signal box (ECN5) is of red brick and standard pattern. The station was closed to passengers in 11 June 1956, and to goods in May 1964. The siding was removed in the 1980s but the level crossing and signal box remain in operation.
