Details A standing stone was noted at this location during a site visit in October 2009. The stone measures approx. 1.3m high. The present land-owner (and occupant of Tilquhillie castle) set the stone in this position after it emerged from the adjacent collapsed dyke. It may have been removed from a stone circle at some point in the past - a recumbent stone circle lies just to the southeast.
