Leading light, built in the late 19th century. It was reroofed in circa 2000 following a fire, and the original incandescent bulb was replaced with an LED light in 2013. It is a cylindrical painted brick tower, set on the hillside above the harbour (NO87SW0033). It has a battered base and an eaves course of diagonally-set bricks. The conical roof has replacement grey slates. The boarded timber entrance door is accessed from the street via a timber platform. On the south (seward) side is a projecting lantern window set below the eaves. Inside, there is a timber spiral staircase and a replacement timber roof structure. It was one of a pair of leading lights, with the lower light on the inner wall of the harbour no longer evident. Vessels would align the lights to indicate the approach to the harbour.
