A probable cairn situated 270 m south-southwest of Ury North Lodge. Around the cairn are several low stony mounds, and 45 m to the east-northeast (NO 8695 8868) there is a circular enclosure measuring 5 m in diameter within a wall 0.4 m high and spread to a thickness of 1.4 m. As part of the archaeological evaluation works (NO88NE0186) carried out in 2021 by Guard Archaeology at Ury House Estate (NO88NE0104) prior to proposed development, a walkover survey was carried out in the northeastern extent of the development area in Slicewells Wood, covering the cairn and enclosure site. The cairn measured approximately 12.5 m in length and 10.5 m in width with a height between 1 m and 1.2 m. It consisted of a loose and unbonded aggregation of irregularly shaped stones beneath grass and other vegetation. The position of the enclosure was completely obscured by dense gorse bushes, resulting in it not being possible to monitor its full extent.
