Details Lifeboat station, still in use, built in the early 20th century. It is a rectangular lifeboat house with a slipway. The station is constructed from squared mixed granite with tooled ashlar dressings, and the slipway is concrete with a track. A slightly projecting bay fronts the Harbour Place gable (east), with a double-leaf plank door. Wide double-leaf plank sliding doors close the house from the slipway. The south elevation has a lean-to porch in the centre under a continuous catslide roof, and is flanked by a window on each side. Above the boat doors is a gable loft window. The roof is slate with a tiled ridge.
