Details Two iron cannon dredged out of Aberdeen harbour near the Hall Russell shipyard during the 1990s. They probably dated from the 19th century, but their origin was not determined, although they were presumably associated with maritime defences, either perhaps at one of the Aberdeen coastal batteries, or on board a ship. After examination, they were returned to the sea off the Fife coast, as it was not practical to preserve them on land.
