Bon Accord Crescent Gardens, including one of the original brick garden terraces. These were originally created as private gardens for the houses of Bon Accord Crescent, construction of which began in 1823. it is not clear exactly when the gardens were laid out, formed from the southwest facing bank of the Howe Burn. They were in long strips of varying width running down the hill, divided by walls. In the 20th Century they were used as a market garden, with the upper section in use as allotments until the 1970s. At that time the gardens were landscaped to create an open public park; only a single terrace survive these changes (NJ90NW0671). On three levels it is faced with red brick with predominantly random stone rubble to the side elevations, with mainly flat or slightly bowed stone coping.
