Details |
Town house dated 1694. It is 3-storey, built of sandstone rubble, formerly harled, with moulded openings. There are large corbelled skews with sundials, probably originating from an earlier building. Internally it retains some 18th century pine panelling. There are early timber beams to the double attic space with evidence of earlier hoist system, and iron hooks attached to the beams at regular intervals. There is a central well beneath the floor of the shop.
