Details Site of a gate or 'port'. The Chaplain's Port was erected circa 1532 and stood until at least 1725. OS Name Book (1866) noted that no trace remained. This was one of four ports in the high walls which enclosed the cathedral precincts - with Chanonry Port (NJ90NW0289), Cluny Port (NJ90NW0288) and an unnamed one (NJ90NW0290).
