Details House designed by John Smith and built in 1820 on the site of Mortlach Manse (NJ90NW0196). Depicted on the OS 1st edition map set in gardens and named Tillydrone Cottage, it had been extended and renamed Tillydrone House by the time of the 2nd edition map. The present house is a 2-storey structure with three broad bays and long windows that reach the floor and flank the doorway. The boundary wall is of rubble and brick, partly brick-lined.
