Details Remains of a railway station. The Station at Cove Bay opened in 1850 and was part of the line that ran from Aberdeen to near Forfar. It carried both passengers and freight. Aberdeen Railway operated as part of the chain of east coast railway companies and merged in 1856 with Scottish Midland Junction to form the Scottish North Eastern Railway. The station closed in 1956. Part of the platforms remain.
