Remains of castle. Its small size suggests that the castle was a hunting lodge of 3-4 storeys with a garret. Possibly dates from late 16th early 17th century. Only the foundations of the main building survive, circa 6.7 m sq, to a height of circa 1 m with a circular angle tower at northwest standing to a height of circa 2.50 m. This tower had been about 4.87 m in diameter, 1 m thick. The foundations of the barmekin wall adjoin the southwest angle of the castle. Remains of old workings lie to the west of the castle. The remains have been re-pointed and preserved as a memorial to A Keillar.
