Details A ring brooch of silver, inscribed with the letters 'I IACR ASCR A. SR', a clumsy version of the usual medieval inscription '+ IESV NAZAR', some of the characters being contracted, inverted or reversed. The ring brooch was discovered in the ruins of the Abbey under unknown circumstances, and is now in the NMS. It probably dates from the 14th century.
