Period Notes

Period Notes Built on the site of a 13th century castle. Mansion built in the 17th century, and there are circa 1620 decorated ceilings to the early sections of the house. There is a marriage stone dated 1703. There were extensive repairs in 1851, and further renovations in 1923. The mid-17th century sundial is moved in the 19th century, and is moved again at a later date. There is a late-19th century game store. The house was converted into a hotel in 1979, then back to a family home in the early-21st century. Listed on 11/06/1971.
