Period Notes

Period Notes Two early churches on the site, one dedicated in 1242, and a second built in circa 1603. The minister's aisle is dated 1609. The present church was built in 1781-3 with stair alterations in the mid-19th century and an 1893 addition to the North elevation and interior alterations. The stained glass window is dated 1787, and the manse was buyilt in 1792. There are interior timber columns in the church from circa 2001. The church was listed on 11/06/1971, as was the minister's aisle and kirkyard. The manse and gig-house, hearse-house and St Medan statue was listed on 15/01/1980. The church was changed from an A listing to a B listing in 2014.
