Architect Details

Engineer David A. Stevenson. Born in Edinburgh on the 21st July 1857, David A. Stevenson assumed the position of Engineer to the Northern Lighthouse Board as early as 1885 and remained in the post until his death in 1938. He was responsible, in collaboration with first his uncle Thomas and later his brother Charles, for the construction of 26 lighthouses.
