Details Former walled garden of Newton House (NJ16SE0020) depicted on the historic OS maps, with a dovecot (NJ16SE0004) attached to the exterior southeast corner. A greenhouse is shown attached to the centre of the northwest wall by the time of the 2nd edition map. The walled garden dates to circa 1800 and extends to the north of the house, and is constructed with coped rubble walls. Later modern properties are shown within the grounds of the former walled garden on the current edition map, Wallfield House in the northeast and The Ivy in the southwest. The greenhouse is no longer shown, replaced by a later rectangular building.
