Details A granite boundary stone on the summit of Mona Gowan recorded by RCAHMS Strathdon survey. It marked the march between Inverernan and Candacraig, or possibly Carvie, estates in the late nineteenth century. The stone is rectangular in section, standing to a height of 0.55m with the letter I on its west face and the letter C on the east. The number fourteen carved into the flat top of the stone indicates the number of this marker in a series of similar stones. It is shown on the OS 2nd edition mapm, but not the 1st edition.
