Site Form Standing Structure
Site Condition Incomplete
Details The remains of a fort lie within a drystone plantation ring, in a commanding position. The 'fosse' described by the Ordnance Name Book may be an optical illusion created by the construction of the plantation bank. There would appear to be no reason for a ditch on the south and west, where there is a steep natural slope. There is no evidence of ditch on the north and east.
