Details Graveyard, and site of chapel of ease dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The chapel was subsequently a parish church, which was in a poor state by 1791 and was replaced by the present church (NJ45SE0003) to the East in 1795. The previous existence is still known locally, although there is nearly no trace. The gaveyard is enclosed by a rectangular wall. It is partially enclosed at the North by cast-iron spearhead railings on a low coped wall and with the entrance flanked by plain gatepiers. A stump of the original West boundary wall remains between the original graveyard and the late 19th century extension to the West. Some 18th century memorials and tombstones removed from the ruins of the old church in 1833, and are re-set in a coped rubble plinth near the entrance.
