Details The home farm of Castle Forbes is depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a U-shaped steading with court to the east opposite of which is another range almost forming a rectilinear block with central open court. A millpond lies to the east and two small building to the southeast. On the 2nd edition there is an enclosure with a central feature within the courtyard. A small building lies to the north of the long range, and there is another small building attached to the western side of the main steading. Today the steading retains a similar layout although the internal enclosure has now gone and the pond is no longer evident although the lade appears to be still visible.
