Details It was reported that on the 5th August 1986 wreckage was located by a local fishing skipper at this location. It may be the wreckage of the MORAY. BSAC divers report that this wreckage is regularly dived on by recreational divers, and describe it as follows: 'The vessel lies roughly southeast (bow) - northwest. There is a lot of scattered plating, as well as steel rods, piping, and an intact condenser. The boiler and (triple expansion) engine-block stand upright (3-4m above the seabed). The prop shaft and propeller are also evident, the last being of 4-bladed type with two of them snapped off. There are also various winches and pulley wheels, and what looks like a small donkey boiler. The anchors were not seen.'.
