Details Remains of a church and graveyard, built in the 17th Century possibly on the site of an earlier church. The west gable and vaulted basement of the church remain, and there is a datestone inscribed 1723. It has a large round-arched doorway with chamfered voussoirs and segmental rear arch, with a small square chamfered window above, deeply splayed, also with segmental rear arch. It also has a birdcage bellcote, dated 1740, with square shafts, cone and ball top. There is a small rectangular burial aisle on the south side, now unroofed as an open enclosure. The church was abandoned in 1773 when the new church was built (NJ66SW0069). Rubble walled burial ground with 17th and 18th century and later tombstones. There are 7 Commonwealth War Graves in the graveyard. The principal entrance is flanked by simple square tooled ashlar gatepiers with pyramidal caps and a pair of cast-iron spearhead carriage gates. Also known as the Old Kirk of Boyndie and St Brandon's Church.
