Details |
Remains of domestic sites No. 4 and 5 for Boyndie World War II airfield (NJ66SW0031), built to provide accommodation for Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) personnel serving on the airfield. A group of hut bases remain,, including larger ones for mess halls and recreational purposes. The huts are visible on RAF aerial photographs taken in 1946 on which at least 35 huts are evident, mainly of Nissen type.
