Details Site of domestic site No. 9 for Boyndie World War II airfield (NJ66SW0031). On RAF aerial photographs taken in 1946 at least 35 huts are visible, mainly of the Nissen type with one large pitched roof hut. Two buildings and what are probably four air-raid shelters are visible on the OS 1:2500 map revised 1962.
