Details Remains of a pre-1827 mill dam on the Leuchar Burn for a lade which ran south to Garlogie Mill (NJ70NE0010). The dam and northern section of lade are not depicted on historic OS maps. Only a short, east-west, section of spillway for this early lade remains visible. It was abandoned when the later lade to the east (NJ70NE0226) came into operation, although the southern section of the pre-1827 lade was repurposed as a spillway for the later lade as shown on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Rubble remains of the dam survive. The majority of the pre-1827 lade and post 1827 spillway was filled in with only a short section near Garlogie Mill surviving.
