Details Manor house and site of possible castle/mansion. The present house was built by the Brodies in the 18th century though a building existed prior to 1604. A 17th century armorial panel is set in the southeast wing. The west wing was built around 1700. The centre has a two column Roman-Doric open portico with wooden entablature of circa 1840. The northeast and southeast wings form a U-plan of mid-18th century date, re-modelled in 1830-40. A designed landscape surrounds the house with a walled garden to the north-east (NJ 7080 4970), the Home Farm to the south-east (NJ74NW0112), a West Lodge (NJ74NW0097) and East Lodge (NJ74NW0098). A photographic survey was carried out in 2022 prior to proposed alterations.
