Details Site of recumbent stone circle, depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps as 'remains of' a stone circle. By that time it has been reduced to a pile of large stones and the OS Name Book (1871) records that many stones were removed and used for building purposes. Five stones were present in 1902, one of which measured 2.4m by 1.5m by 0.9m, suggested by Coles to be a recumbent. All five have since been removed and there are now no upstanding remains but there is a circular light patch showing on a vertical aerial photograph taken in 1977 at this location.
