Details Walled garden, in use as an orchard, dated 1809, constructed from rubble. There is a four-column, Greek-Doric column portico with a deep plain entablature and pediment. The portico of the Ferguson Mausoleum (1854-55) has been re-erected. A geophysical survey was carried out in April 2017 by Rose Geophysical Consultants, followed by a watching brief being carried out in July 2017 by Cameron Archaeology prior to the proposed construction of a house within the walled garden. The geophysical survey recorded linear features. During the watching brief a path as seen on historic mapping and a probable 19th century drain were recorded. The owner reported a worked stone to Alison Cameron that is built into the wall. This was also recorded by Cameron Archaeology in July 2017, and appears to be a finial stone that has been altered.
