Site of a cottage, probably built in the 18th century. It was a single-storey, rubble-built, two-window and later centre porch cottage with a thatched roof bound with ropes. The chimneys were probably originally wood, later replaced with metal. It was the only survivor in Buchan still with 'rope and stray' thatch. A later house has since been built on the site.
